Artwork: Erinys Maiden

I generally like to draw fey or devil-like characters, though I generally don't imbue them with any particular malevolence—they're just there, part of the world.

I typically designate the female fey with horns and feathered wings as being Erinyes—the Furies from Greek mythology. This is not based on any strict basis, other than I don't think of them as devils or demons without the leathery wings. Of course in fantasy anything goes, as long as you embrace some kind of internal consistency.

A red-haired woman with curved horns and large, blue-grey feathered wings. Her eyes are yellow; her curly hair covers one eye and hangs only down to her neck. She's dressed in the clothing of a late medieval townswoman: brown bodice, dark yellow gown, black blouse. She has one hand on her hip, while the other lifts one side of her gown, revealing the long black underskirt beneath. She's wearing a golden bracelet.
An Erinys, dressed modestly for an ordinary day.

I quite like this one. It came out nice and clean, without an excess of self-indulgence on my part.
