Artwork: Erinys in Pink and Peach

It is possible to look both feminine and dangerous. An erinys, one of the furies, occupying the liminal space between angel and devil.

Another of the winged devils that I like to classify as erinyes due to the use of feathered rather than leathery wings. Also another character with thick, expressive hair, because I enjoy drawing that. And finally, a somewhat extravagant sense of fashion.

A drawing of a beautiful woman with great feathered wings, like some kind of erinys, devil or fallen angel, standing in an authoritative pose with the cable of a flail held stretched taut between her hands, the heavy bronze flail head hanging just past her upraised right hand. She has thick, volumous pink hair, mostly tied back in a knot behind her head but for a large lock hanging freely over one temple. She has demonic turquoise eyes—iris and sclera both—with crimson pupils and long pointed ears. She also has long. slightly curved horns and a prehensile tail that winds around her hips, both lilac in colour. Her skin is pale peach, while her wings are various hues of pink and peach and white. She's wearing a maroon and rose-gold corset over a diaphonous halter-top with a long purple skirt covering her legs. She has detached puffed-up peach sleeves covering most of her arms, and is wearing rose-gold jewellery—hoop earrings and ear clips.
Big hair, big sleeves, big wings.

I often struggle with the coloration of my drawings, starting with a vague idea but only really deciding after the line-art and shading has already been completed. Sometimes I do an initial colouring, and immediately hate it, trying out different colour-fills and playing around with hue of the individual colour layers to try to 'discover' something interesting. In this case, the pervasive 'pinkness' was an accident, the result of an overly extreme colour-fill flooding the entire drawing. But I found the effect quite striking, so I went with it!
