Artwork: Coral Mermaid

A drawing of a mermaid sitting underwater upon some spiny rocks, surrounded by weeds and reeds, her hair rising in the water around her.

A drawing for 'Mermay' (mermaids in May), because I felt like doing one.

A drawing of a mermaid sitting underwater upon a rocky outcropping surrounded by weeds and reeds. She has her tail curled curled on the rock in front of her and is looking off to one side, one arm raised protectively in front of her chest. She has long, pink hair that rises in the water around her head. Her skin is smooth and has a pale teal coloration around her face and shoulders, but becomes more mottled with blue-and-cyan scales going down the trunk of her body down to her tail fin. She possesses a couple of pairs of pink gills around her neck and has pointed, spiny ears. The irises of her eyes are lilac against dark turquoise sclera. She has spines sprouting from her forearms and frills around her hips and down the sides of her tail and torso resembling fur in places.
Just chilling out under the sea.

Compare with last year's 'Mermay' drawing.
