Artwork: Motoko (Wizardry)

Silent and deadly, or possibly just shy. But still deadly. The dwarven monk Motoko.

Anyone who actually plumbs the depths of this blog might be aware that I published a narrative playthrough of the PC RPG Wizardry 6: Bane of the Cosmic Forge, and started a playthrough of the sequel, Crusaders of the Dark Savant. Motoko was one of the six members of my adventuring party—the quiet, competent one who carefully gathered all the important key items while the rest of the party bickered, methodically defeated the party's enemies while the rest of the party bickered, and periodically dive-tackled Shaana the bard to the ground whenever she wandered into a deadly trap (while the rest of the party bickered).

Well now I've actually drawn her for the first time.

A drawing of a muscular woman calmly stretching, her eyes closed. Her body is covered by scars. She has neck-length wavy dark brown hair with longer tresses hanging in front of her ears. She's wearing chest wraps, baggy trousers, one glove and one detached sleeve. She is standing outdoors in front of some cracked columns.
Motoko, having a quick stretch before she saves the party from being horribly murdered. Again.

So technically she's a dwarf in-game. Evidently, based on how I've drawn her, she's a very tall dwarf.

I would quite like to pick up from where I left off in Wizardry 7. Maybe after I've finally drawn the entire party.

[This drawing was originally meant to be posted in December 2024, but was delayed for no particuarly good reason.]
