Artwork: Erinys Courier
It seems that whenever I draw someone, I go through a process of tweaks. First I taper the ears to a point, because why not. Heterochromia just comes naturally, usually with unusual eye colours that go with any jewellery. I'll try to resist adding wings, because the wings can be quite a bit of effort to draw properly...but then I decide that the drawing needs a little some extra around the sides for 'balance', and in they go. Horns get added, to give a lift to the head—in this case, I originally planned to draw a hat, but I think I forgot at some point. Well to Hell with it—might as well add a tail now too.
An Erinys, having something of a relaxed day. |
This is how I end up drawing yet another 'erinys' character, albeit one that looks rather too pleasant to be one of the Furies. I think maybe it's her day off—even cthonic vengeance spirits need some time to themselves. Why a 'courier'? I'm not sure—that's just the impression I got from her, like maybe those pouches contain messages.
Ah, so it's not her day off. It's her side-hustle.
