Artwork: Erinys

Erinyes—the fabled Furies of Greek mythology, charged with pursuing oathbreakers. Virgil named three Furies: Megaera, Alecto and Tisiphone. I don't know which of the three this one is supposed to be (maybe another one entirely), but she looks like she means business.

An Erinys, one of the Furies, looms before the viewer. She has dusky skin, fiery red hair, upward curving horns and large grey-feathered wings. She's in flight; her arms hang before her, teal fire erupting from her hands. Her eyes glow yellow. She's wearing a striped brown dress, held together by leather straps.
An Erinys, on the hunt.

This was one of my more ambitious pieces at the time of drawing; other pieces drawn around the same time might be more technically accomplished, or more artfully drawn, but they're typically less dramatic in presentation.
