Artwork: Balcony Angel

Wings! And feathers in general, whether the stylised 'fluffed' kind or ruddy great pinions. Drawing looking a bit mundane? Needs a little more going on around the top half of the picture? Just add wings! As big and dramatic as possible—they've got to give the bearer some decent lift after all.

A young woman with straight dark brown hair cut to halfway down the neck looks out over a stone balcony. She has faintly irridescent white feathered wings and is wearing a shoulder-less translucent dress decorated with white swirls and feathers around the bodice and sleeves. The sky behind her is hazy and overcast.
I hope it's a good view.

One weakness in my drawings is a frequent use of static, rather stiff poses. I'm trying to ease into more interesting compositions, and actually including backgrounds occasionally. There's a problem with leaving something to near the end though—by the time you get to filling in the backdrop, you're sort of looking to move on to the next thing.
