Artwork: Gothic Wings

So originally, this piece didn't have wings.

I drew the character, much as you see it now, and I posted it online, and a helpful soul offered some constructive critique: "it seems the image is bottom heavy... some fixes could be: longer/bigger hair, face tattoo, wings..."

Okay, wings it is. I'd done wings before, but this is the point (in retrospect) where I started throwing wings on practically any character who seemed to be lacking in a certain, ah, presence in the upper-half of the image. I may have developed a problem.

A woman dressed in a layered black dress, trimmed with fur. She has large feathered wings, grey in colour. Her hair is nearly-black, purplish in the light, with a straight-cut fringe with much of it tied back in a bun behind her head. She's wearing a necklace from which hangs a net of lace and green beads, matching her eyes.
